Tootsy has been with ABTR for some time now. This girl is a survivor! She had full blown cataracts in both eyes and was completely blind when she was picked up by a local shelter as a stray in 2012. Since being with ABTR, Tootsy has had cataract surgery in both eyes. She now has her vision back! Although Tootsy has her vision back, she still suffers from seperation anxiety. She absolutely adores her humans and does not like to be away from them. As such, special care needs to be taken to help alleviate her anxiety. Tootsy cannot be crated for any reason and she really thrives in routine. The only other special consideration for Miss Toots is that she takes two eye drops daily, this is required for the rest of her life. Did I mention that Toots absolutely adores her humans? This means that she is a master snuggler, she loves spending time with you wherever you are. She loves to sleep in, watch TV, sun herself in the yard and go on walks. She is a constant companion! She is good with all adults, children, dogs and cats she meets. She loves to play just as much as she loves to snuggle, chase is one of her favorite games. She has a vivacious and loving personality! To say she is a spunky senior would be putting it mildly. We believe Tootsy would be great for our "Senior for Senior" program, she would benefit greatly from a family that can be with her the majority of the time.
