I WANT YOU....My name is Uncle Sam, but my friends just call me Sam. I was rescued by ABTR on the Fourth of July from a county shelter when my time was almost up. My eyes were swollen, crusty and dry which was my proof that I had suffered neglect at the hand of my previous owner, but don't worry ABTR did not spare a dime and took me in to the eye specialist, who with the time and dedication of my foster mom have been able to turn my eyes around. I do have limited vision in one of my eyes and I do require daily eye drops which are not expensive at all. I would be perfect for a person who works from home, a retired person or someone who can come home at lunchtime to administer my drops. I love my foster family very much, but I am very excited to search for my forever home.
I am crate trained with no anxiety, walk beautifully on a leash and I love to go for car rides. I do live with two dog friendly cats and I have no interest in them and I do share a home with a few dogs, but truth be told I would love to be the "only child" where I wouldn't have to compete with the other dogs for attention from my humans. I am potty trained, but I will mark in the company of other dogs. Now, don't get me wrong I am not one of those needy dogs, I am rather an independent fellow who simply enjoys belly rubs, laying in your lap and oh how I love to cuddle. I do like children, but would do best with children over 10 yrs old as I can be enthusiastic during playtime. I am very food motivated and I will do most anything for one of those delicious treats.
I want you, don't you want me? Please file your taxes....I mean fill out my application today!
